An Italianate style villa, Laguna Gloria served as the perfect backdrop to Bre and Ben’s romantic spring wedding. Bre and Ben wanted a wedding that would fully embrace the contemporary and modern elements of the venue while simultaneously enhancing the trees surrounding the property with simple and organic florals. Coupled with Bre’s impeccable style (her dress was AMAZING) this wedding was definitely one for the books. This wedding was all about celebrating love, family and allowing guests to have some fun. Wood and Wire played for the ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by an amazing set by Molly Burch Band for the evening. One of my favorite features of Ben and Bre’s wedding was the asymmetrical balloon display created by Botanical No. 9 which resulted in a stunning backdrop for a night of dancing.

When I design a wedding where the couple has requested to focus on clean lines and a modern aesthetic I like to think about the venue and what architectural elements I can pull from. Laguna Gloria is a very romantic location so keeping the floral contemporary yet still natural was a must. For the tables we kept everything very clean and minimalist, white linens, contemporary china and flatware. The stationery was kept very modern with a nod to the full invitation set with the pink text. This allowed the view, location and flowers to be the star of the show.
