Year in Review 2016
2016 has been a whirlwind year for the team at Wild Sky Events. I can't thank our clients enough for trusting us when we come up with dramatic design ideas and our vendors for helping us bring those designs to life. Our events this year took us all over the US and I could not be more proud of my team and the events we produced this year.
Thank you to everyone who had faith in us, didn't laugh at our crazy ideas, helped us make our events better and made 2016 our biggest year yet. I can't wait to see what 2017 has in store for us. Here are some highlights from our events this year!
1. Frontline AVMA Conference Event
One of my favorite events of the year. I love this design and was so proud of how it turned out. We only had 5 weeks to put this event together and even though I didn't sleep for much of August it was so worth it! My favorite element is the 6' golden dog (we named him Kevin) surrounded by gold lacquer tables covered in gourmet desserts. This has to be the most dramatic dessert bar I have ever created.

2. Amy & Kent's Wedding
I loved this wedding. From the wonderful couple to all the little design details. I just got the preview photos today and I can't wait to share the whole gallery in the new year!

3. Zendesk SXSW
For this event we decked out Container Bar in custom fabricated branding pieces for the Zendesk SXSW takeover. We had everything from great music, food and even an astronaut!

4. Zendesk ReBranding Launch, San Francisco
Another Zendesk event, this time for the company rebranding launch in San Francisco. This has to be one of the most detailed designs I have ever done. Everything from the pillows to the side table accent pieces had to fit in with the overall brand look. The goal was to make it look like a comfortable and lived-in living room. We created a space where guests could talk and connect comfortably while still maintaining the company's brand aesthetic.

5. Peached Social house Grand Opening Planner Lunch
I am always super excited to plan and design events for my peers but also secretly terrified. It is a special kind of stress when you have to put something together for your peers in the events industry. That said I loved how this event turned out, part Austin, part Scandinavian minimalist. I thought it captured the modern vibe of the new Peached Social House and still brought in some bright colors and fun natural textures to the space.

6. Savannah and Kevin's Wedding
One of the smallest events we did all year but one of my favorites. This brunch wedding on the porch of Star Hill Ranch was so lovely, so much fun and just perfectly reflected the couple.

7. Chandon Tasting Lounge for Taylor Swift/ Formula One
I love how much visual drama we gave this space! It was only a 20' x 40' tent and I wanted to fill it with as much color and texture as we could for Chandon's brand presence at Formula One. I love everything about this space from the 40' ribbon wall to the gorgeous custom floral photo booth backdrop. What a weekend!

8. Cheryl and Jason's Wedding
This dramatic romantic wedding was held at The Four Seasons Austin. There were so many parts of this wedding that I absolutely loved but the epic dance party at the end of the night was definitely the highlight!

One of my favorite styled shoots of the year and can be seen in the latest issue of Brides of Austin.
