Fine Art Inspiration in Event Design no.2

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!  Here is my latest  Fine Art in Event Design inspiration board. This week I dove into my Le Musée D’Orsay books and decided to focus on Paul Gauguin.  I love his work from the late 1880’s when he teamed up with Vincent Van Gough to set up the “Studio of the South”, where they lived and worked together until December of 1888.

Today, the paining I used as inspiration is titled, Les Alyscamps, 1888. This park is located in Arles, France and is actually a Roman necropolis that was very popular destination for locals at that time for afternoon walks. I love the colors in this painting and it made me think of spending an entire afternoon outside strolling in the sun.

With spring approaching I felt a picnic wedding design was in order. I used a muted pallet of blush, clover and indigo as the base colors and the accented with pops of yellow forsythia and poppy red.

We still have  few fall dates open for 2015 weddings. Give us a call to learn more!
