This past April we had the absolute privilege of planning and designing all the events for Steve and Shilpa's Wedding weekend. It was the most colorful wedding we have ever designed and it is also one of my favorites.
If one word could sum up this wedding it would be marigolds. Over 500 ft to be exact, shipped in from India. On our first site visit to Camp Lucy I knew we had to do something with the pillars going down the ceremony aisle and I thought why not create fountains of flowers? After searching high and low for the perfect brass pots the idea was finalized. The result is my favorite ceremony design to date. The Mandap itself was covered in multi colored floral arrangements to celebrate the vibrancy of life. We used champagne colored drape and neutral furniture to really help those flowers stand out.
Cocktail hour was under a gorgeous sperry tent filled with modern yet organic furniture from 10th Collection. No rustic boho styling for this group. This was all about clean lines, leather textures, tufted sofas and modern geometric gold accents.
For the reception we played off of Shilpa's favorite color blue and punched up the saturation in every way possible. Vibrant floral, pink napkins, gold chargers and peacock patterned dinner plates completed the look. The main centerpiece of the reception had to be the 20' greenery and carnation floral chandelier.
Thank you to the fabulous vendor team for helping us bring our ideas to life!
