We are so excited that Leigh and Nick's winter weddings is being featured on Grey Likes Weddings this week! This was a very fun wedding to plan as Leigh wanted to embrace all the wonderful colors of the holiday season. To create the winter woodland wedding look that Leigh wanted to relied on a few design tricks: 1) Use as much greenery as we could get our hands on 2) Use lighting to add texture to the space through gobo patterns 3) Allow the brighter holiday colors to shine by keeping to a neutral color palette everywhere else 4) I wanted to find unique ways to use Leigh's favorite color emerald and we ended up incorporating it in the velvet emerald ribbons around the napkins to the sequined emerald cake table linen.
On the day of the wedding it absolutely poured with rain. I don't mean just a little sprinkle but a full on Texas rain storm that lasted the entire day. As with any winter wedding (really any wedding) we had a picture perfect rain plan ready to go but what made the difference was the outlook of one of my all time favorite couples. It may rain on your wedding day but always focus on the reason you are there and go and have some fun with the photographer. Afterwards I guarantee those will be some of your favorite pictures of the day!
